TURKISH MOSQUE

The mosque served as a worship place for the Muslim minority that lived in the village. To be more specific, the mosque was deserted in 1967 when all Muslim inhabitants moved to the neighboring village of Mari.

The mosque was constructed possibly at the end of the 19th century, next to the main church of the village, namely in the central square of the village.

It is worth mentioning that the mosque’s recent restoration was funded by the Turkish-cypriot eparch.
