Poetry Day in Kalavasos

The 5th International Larnaca Poetry Festival was hosted in Kalavasos on 24 April 2026, bringing together distinguished poets from Cyprus, Greece, and abroad.

Through a full-day programme, poetry became a bridge connecting creators and the local community in a shared cultural experience. Poets engaged with residents of the village, the church setting, as well as students and teachers of the local primary school, creating a day filled with light, expression, and inspiration.

Kalavasos was transformed into a vibrant cultural hub, where words, art, and human connection took centre stage.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Larnaca Poetry Festival for giving us the opportunity to host such a meaningful day in our village, a day entirely dedicated to culture, at a time when it is needed more than ever.
